Where are Egypt's industrial zones and how large are they?
162 zones with drawn boundaries, merged from 291 overlapping polygons across four layers, covering 1,659,760 hectares. Plus 145 zone points with the supervising body and establishment decree, and 63 investment and free zones with utilities.

Who it is for
Industrial developers, site-selection consultants and contractors: to compare available industrial sites, identify the body supervising each zone before making contact, and measure the industrial land stock in each governorate.
Method: what we add to the raw data
- جُمعت مضلعات المناطق الصناعية من أربع طبقات متداخلة مجموعها 291 مضلعاً.
- دُمج كل مضلعين يتقاطعان بأكثر من 60٪ من مساحة الأصغر، فانخفض العدد 118 مضلعاً مكرراً إلى 162 منطقة فريدة.
- حُذف 11 مضلعاً تقل مساحته عن هكتار واحد لأنه خطأ هندسي لا منطقة صناعية.
- حُسبت مساحة كل منطقة حساباً جيوديسياً على الإهليلج المرجعي WGS 84، لأن مصر تمتد على ثلاثة نطاقات UTM فلا يصلح إسقاط واحد لها جميعاً.
- رُبطت كل منطقة بمحافظتها ربطاً مكانياً بموقعها داخل حدود المحافظات لا بالحقل النصي، ثم وُحّدت أسماء المحافظات من 33 صيغة مختلفة إلى 27 اسماً معيارياً برمزه.
- استُكمل الاسم العربي الناقص في 6 مناطق من اسم النقطة الصناعية الواقعة داخلها.
- طُوبقت 72 نقطة صناعية من 145 مع مضلع يحويها، وبقي الباقي بلا حدّ مرسوم ويُعلَّم بذلك في الحقل has_polygon.
- حُذف عمود نسبة الإشغال لأنه كان يحمل قيمة المساحة نفسها في 144 صفاً من 145.

- الحدود المرسومة تقريبية وليست حدوداً مساحية مسجَّلة؛ تصلح للتخطيط والمقارنة لا للتوثيق القانوني.
- 73 نقطة صناعية من 145 بلا مضلع يقابلها، فموقعها معروف وحدّها غير مرسوم.
- المساحة المعلنة في طبقة النقاط (area_declared) وردت بلا وحدة صريحة، والأرجح أنها بالفدان؛ قارنها بالمساحة المحسوبة area_ha قبل الاعتماد عليها.
- المناطق التعدينية مساحات امتياز واسعة (11 منطقة تغطي 684,583 هكتار)، فاستبعدها عند حساب متوسط مساحة المنطقة الصناعية.
- حقول الملكية والمرافق والحالة ناقصة في المصدر، وتُسلَّم كما وردت بلا تخمين.
- 51 منطقة بلا اسم عربي، ولها اسم إنجليزي.
- تاريخ البيانات 2026-09-27، والمناطق المنشأة بعده غير مشمولة.
