Method: what we add to the raw data
- The source is a building-based population distribution model at 100 m, not an evenly spread grid.
- Cells were aggregated to sector, then delegation, then governorate, so the three levels are consistent: the sum of sectors is exactly the delegation.
- Area was computed in an equal-area projection, and density is population divided by area.
- The population cells are supplied as they are, so the buyer can re-aggregate to any boundaries.

Limitations
- Figures are model estimates for 2024, not an official census; they suit comparison and planning, not legal use.
- The most recent year available in the source is 2024; no newer figures exist.
- The model distributes people onto observed buildings, so it may overstate industrial and non-residential areas.
- 1 sectors hold fewer than fifty people, mostly desert or uninhabited areas.
- Age groups are not included: the available source for Tunisia gives totals without reliable age breakdown.
