9,226 public transport stops with locations, names and operators; 89 routes totalling 1,998 km built from operating files; and a per-delegation table of stop counts and population living within 500 m of a stop.
49.7% of Tunisians live within that distance of a stop published here — that is proximity to published stops, not national public-transport coverage.
In short
9,226 stops and 89 routes totalling 1,998 km.
6,077,452 people (49.7%) live within 500 m of a stop published in this package.

Who it is for
Municipalities, planning and transport consultancies, delivery and retail companies, urban planning students, and NGOs.
Method: what we add to the raw data
- Three stop references were merged into one layer, removing duplicates within twenty metres.
- Routes were built as lines from the operating files' (GTFS) shape points in sequence, making them measurable and mappable instead of scattered points.
- Each stop was attributed to its governorate, delegation and sector.
- A 500 m service area around every stop was computed on a metric grid and read against the population distribution, giving served people rather than land area.
- Results were aggregated per delegation: stop counts, population, served population and its share.

Limitations
- Coverage follows operators that publish their data and is concentrated in Greater Tunis, Sfax and Sousse; many areas have no published data, which does not mean they have no transport.
- The 500 m service area is straight-line, not walking distance along streets, so real distance is longer.
- Timetables and frequencies are not included; stops and routes only.
- Stop names are as recorded by operators, with inconsistent spelling.
- Deduplicating by location alone may merge the two stops of opposite directions on the same street, which are operationally distinct.
- 9 delegations have no published stop.
