4,601 archaeological and heritage sites across Tunisia — 3,812 recorded archaeological sites and 546 heritage buildings with their attributes — plus 636 cultural facilities (60 museums, 351 libraries, 225 culture houses).
Every feature carries its governorate, delegation and sector, with a per-delegation site density table.

Who it is for
Cultural institutes and administrations, tourism companies and guides, archaeology and history researchers and students, and content makers.
Method: what we add to the raw data
- Seven scattered layers were merged into two with unified fields: sites and monuments in one, cultural facilities in the other.
- Every feature was attributed to its governorate, delegation and sector by location — the main addition here, since most source layers carry no administrative attribution.
- Arabic names where the source records them, French names throughout, and an explicit field showing which sites are named.
- Heritage-building attributes (period, original and current function, condition, listing) were carried over as recorded, with empty values cleaned.
- Site density per delegation was computed as sites per 100 km².

Limitations
- 3812 archaeological sites carry no name in the source, only a record code. This is a source limitation, not a processing gap, and an explicit field marks it.
- Heritage-building attributes are filled in roughly 60% of cases; the rest are empty in the source.
- Sites are points, not boundaries, and a recorded area exists for only part of them.
- Only the Nabeul layer carries historical periods in Arabic and French.
- 3 museums carry no coordinates in the source, so they are not mapped; they are supplied by name in a separate table.
- Coverage follows the official register; known sites absent from it are not included.
